Specific ‘submission to conference’ eprint type added 17jan2006. Some translation of phrases to german and update of the ‘Conference Paper’ and ‘Conference Poster’ eprint types still lacking - see Issues …

Organic Eprints has already been used for the german conference submissions. However, thee submission should be made simpler for future conferences (e.g. the European conference in Denmark 30–31. May plans to use it - with deadline for submission 15. Feb 2006).

One idea for how this can be done is to add a new eprint type especially for the conference submission in the timespan open for submissions and delete it afterwards. The point is to enable some automatic filling of the fields that are common for all submissions (or do it manually afterwards with mysql commands) and have a minimum number of fields to fill for the user).

However, it is not clear how easily and to which degree this automatication can be done.
