The first expert group meeting will be held in Foulum, 17. March 2004.

The whole group will meet approximately five times, including two open workshops. International experts will be invited to make presentations at the workshops and to review chapters for the final report. This website will communicate background material and working papers and host open discussions.

Invitation to workshop speakers to contribute to the report

It is our goal to prepare an English language publication, a DARCOF Report, based on the results of the knowledge synthesis. This publication will be made available in both electronic and print form. It will be deposited in the Organic Eprints archive for free download as well as on our websites, and we will announce it in our international newsletter and other relevant media. Some of the speakers on the first workshop have said that they would like to make a paper for the workshop, but instead of writing a paper just for distribution at the workshop, we are very pleased to invite them to contribute to the above publication.

We invite the speakers to write a chapter for the report in cooperation with one or more co-authors from the expert group. Other chapters will be written by members of the expert group (see Expert Group). The preparation of chapters will be coordinated by the expert group and an editorial group (to be selected). After completion, report chapters will be submitted for peer review.

We suggest that the speakers prepare a draft paper or a detailed synopsis for the workshop. DARCOF has some means to offer payment for such work (to be decided in a closer agreement). The contributions that are delivered on the 15. April will be distributed to the expert group so that they can be discussed at the meeting on the evening of the 22.
